Trump gun: His team makes fatal mistake, flails to cover up felony

Campaign aides were so excited at the thought of Trump being in a gun shop, that they almost got him caught for committing another felony.

The Trump gun story: Trump team members were so excited at the thought of Trump being in a gun shop, that they almost got him caught for committing another felony.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Republicans wet their pants over it.

Video showed Trump in a gun shop in Florida (the same shop where the Parkland shooter purchased the gun used in the mass shooting—I doubt that was a coincidence) looking at a gun with his name carved into it. They took photos of him gingerly holding the weapon and aides posted them on social media boasting how Trump was such a “badass” that he bought a gun with his name etched into it.

Wait.

Isn’t it illegal for someone indicted on federal charges to buy a gun? Yes. It’s also illegal to have someone else buy it and ship it out of state to someplace like New Jersey, perhaps?

From Yahoo News:

Federal law prohibits anyone under indictment from attempting to buy a firearm. Trump has been criminally indicted four times in as many jurisdictions—Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Washington—facing dozens of felony charges that could land him in prison for decades.

Well, they must have realized the error because the posts were deleted and they scrambled to backtrack and reverse the story that he was so “badass” for buying the gun.
