Black models Nichole Coats and Maleesa Mooney were both found dead in their apartments in downtown Los Angeles within a week, sparking concerns about a possible serial killer in the area.
“Loved ones are distraught after a young model was found dead inside her apartment in downtown Los Angeles, marking the second time a similar incident has occurred within a week.
Family members who discovered the body of Nichole Coats, 32, known as Nikki, inside her apartment are devastated and frustrated at the lack of answers and information from investigators.
“This is senseless and I want some answers because my daughter is gone,” said Sharon Coats, Nikki’s mother. “And it’s not fair. I want everybody to find out who did this to her. She shouldn’t be gone.”
“We need to know what happened,” said May Stevens, Nikki’s aunt.”
