How much is membership?
Membership will always be free and gives users the ability to comment on news and other posts, send friend requests, follow other members, send private messages, receive instant notifications while logged in, create or join user groups, access to create viral content until 1/2025, and more!
There is another membership level that free members can upgrade to Activist. Activists get automatically verified accounts, everything included in free membership, plus access to special groups and content. For a small monthly fee, Activists also get ad-free time on the site and can create viral content beyond the promotion that ends on 1/1/2025.
How do I become a member?
Visit the Join Zany page and choose the membership level you’re signing up for. The free membership button takes you straight to the registration page. The Activist level button takes you to a payment form to complete your subscription prior to registration.
I’m a free member. How do I upgrade to Activist?
Visit the Member Portal to upgrade or cancel your membership.
Viral Content Generator
How do I create viral content?
In the header of every page you’ll see a button that says GO VIRAL. Non-members won’t see the button or be able to access the BuzzEditir. Click that button to open the front page of the Buzz Editor where you can choose the type of post you want to create. Polls, quizzes, lists, and more!
Will the viral content I make show up on the homepage right away?
For viral content, yes. An editor will check to make sure the post follows our Community Guidelines. For posts you make to your own timeline on your profile, no. Other members have the option to report posts that violate the Guidelines, but posts you make there are instantly added to your timeline.
