On the Internet since blogs were called journals and AOL charged by the hour, David Badash writes about politics in general and gay rights in particular. His writings focus on issues that are decisive and challenging to our lives and lifestyles, and to this country.

Like millions of other gay Americans, he found himself outraged on November 4, 2008, when California passed Proposition 8, ending a basic human right, the right to love another person, to be accepted by another person and the law. Compelled to make change, fight for equality, and combat ignorance, days later he created The New Civil Rights Movement: A Journal of News & Opinion On Gay Marriage & Gay Rights.

A dyed-in-the-wool retailer for a quarter century, David managed several multi-million dollar businesses the same way he now focuses his career as a writer and activist: people first.

David grew up in Connecticut, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Parsons School of Design. He lives in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen, in a studio apartment with a great view and a great Black Lab puppy named Text.
