The Trump-backed candidate for governor of North Carolina, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, has said a lot of crazy things throughout his campaign. We learned on Thursday that he called himself a “Black Nazi” on an adult website called “Nude Africa,” thanks to an investigation by CNN.

CNN didn’t reveal all of the comments due to their graphic nature but reported that Robinson listed his full name on his profile, and an email address he has used on different websites across decades, which is how they were able to confirm the posts were his.
Mark Robinson has frequently been in the news for crazy, bigoted comments, but the reporting from CNN makes previous comments look tame.
He has called members of the LGBTQ+ community “filth,” but on the porn site he had a different opinion.
“I like watching [transgender slur] on girl porn! That’s f***ing hot! It takes the man out while leaving the man in!” Robinson wrote in one comment verified by the outlet. “And yeah I’m a ‘perv’ too!”
Robinson graphically described how he becomes aroused as an adult from the memory of secretly watching women in public gym showers at age 14. Robinson said that it’s something he frequently fantasizes about.
“I came to a spot that was a dead end but had two big vent covers over it! It just so happened it overlooked the showers! I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” he wrote on Nude Africa.
In another thread, commenters considered whether to believe the story of a woman who said she was raped by her taxi driver while intoxicated. In response, Robinson wrote, “and the moral of this story….. Don’t f**k a white b*tch!”
Robinson repeatedly made derogatory comments about civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, Jr., attacking him in such intense terms that a user accused him of being a white supremacist.
“Get that f*cking commie bastard off the National Mall!,” Robinson wrote about the dedication of the memorial to King in Washington, DC, by President Barack Obama.
“I’m not in the KKK. They don’t let blacks join. If I was in the KKK I would have called him Martin Lucifer Koon!” Robinson responded.
Robinson also made the comment that he wishes they would “bring back slavery” saying that he would “buy a few.” Does he not realize that… never mind. 🤦🏽♀️
CNN contacted the Nude Africa website and Mark Robinson for comment but did not receive a response. However, the posts by Robinson disappeared from the site hours after CNN’s Kfile investigation was released on Thursday. It’s unsure if it was the website administrator or Robinson who removed the posts.
Right before the story broke, Mark Robinson posted a video on X blaming his opponent, Attorney General Josh Stein, for leaking the story, without evidence, calling it “tabloid trash,” and accusing the media of a “high-tech lynching”, using the words of Clarence Thomas after he was accused of sexual harassment in the past.
Mark Robinson Has History Of Controversial Comments
He has said that “some people just need killin’.”
In response to an ad on abortion by Josh Stein, Robinson said that women should just be more responsible and “keep their skirts down.”
Campaigning for lieutenant governor in 2020, Robinson advocated for a complete abortion ban without exceptions. It was revealed in 2022 that he and his wife had gone through an abortion when they weren’t ready for a child in the 1980’s. It seems like an experience like that would create an understanding and compassion for women when it comes to the issue, but experience has shown us that empathy is not a characteristic common in Conservatives.
Despite his views on abortion, he commented on the website that he doesn’t care if a celebrity has an abortion.
“I don’t care. I just wanna see the sex tape!” he wrote.
There are many shocking comments that he has made on video and Republicans were silent. After this reporting came out, a few have come forward asking him to drop out.
Mark Robinson says he will not drop out of the race. With the current state of the Republican party and the conspiratorial, racist, bigoted, and misogynistic comments from other members of the party, it’s hard to say if this is where they’ll draw the line. Despite his previous comments prior to CNN’s reporting, Donald Trump still endorsed him saying he is ‘MLK 2.0” and labeling him “Martin Luther King on steroids.”
In a way, this is a test for the Republican party. A chance to decide if they want to attract Independents and swing voters in the battleground states or if they are going far-right extremist MAGA.
