Daniel J. Olson is a Professor of Linguistics and Spanish at Purdue University and the director of the Purdue Bilingualism Lab. His research focuses on bilingualism from both cognitive and social perspectives. His work has appeared in many academic journals (e.g., International Journal of Bilingualism, Linguistic Approaches to Bilingualism, Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development) and in the media (e.g., Time Magazine, The Multilingual Mamas Podcast). He routinely teaches courses on Bilingualism, Spanish in the U.S., and Language and Code-Switching.
