From the Project 2025 website: βThe next conservative President will enter office on January 20, 2025, with a simple choice: greatness or failure.Β It will be a daunting test, but no more so than every other generation of Americans has faced and passed.Β Β The Conservative PromiseΒ represents the best effort of the conservative movement in 2023βand the next conservative Presidentβs last opportunity to save our republic.β
Whoβs behind Project 2025?
Meet the members of The Heritage Foundation responsible for Project 2025 (since this is my website I can be honest and admit that I pictured a bunch of old White guys):
It’s important to me that this information is out there for everyone to read so that we can all anticipate what’s coming and prepare to fight it. Part of the purpose of this website was to create a community for Progressives with user groups and private messaging capabilities to help us organize more efficiently.
My vision was for activists to create groups in order to promote and organize events, protests and marches that other members could learn about and participate in locally. Along with local events, Progressives should work on organizing in a national way with letter-writing, phone banking, voter registration drives and events in Washington D.C.
I get so excited and optimistic thinking about us βstanding unitedβ in the same way these terrible conservative groups do. We might not have the backing of billionaires but we have the peopleβlots of people. If you havenβt already claimed your free membership, you should do that now. Go ahead, Iβll wait..
My optimism and excitement is behind my reasons for wanting to spread the threats of Project 2025, not just inside the movement, where most people are already aware of it, but to have all of us share it on social media and with friends where it can reach people that might not pay close attention to politics. At least not in the way we obsessive nuts are hyperfocused.
I’ve seen an article or two written about Project 2025, and I heard some talk about it on cable news weeks ago, but then it stopped. In my opinion, this is too important to stop talking about!
What is Project 2025?
Conservative groups like The Heritage Foundation got together to create a step-by-step plan in preparation for the next Republican President (I could make a few comments about the detailed instructions being necessary because of who the next Republican President might beβ¦ but this isn’t funny).
The fact that 2025 is in the name worries me. Are they that certain Trump is going to win the election? Why? Billionaires and groups like the Heritage Foundation backing him? Russia maybe? I’m just throwing out ideas as to why they might seem so certain that this plan is going to be put into place on January 20, 2025. Itβs not like it would be hard to do a βsearch and replace on the document: 2025 to 2028. Kinda freaked myself out there with that possibility.
Whew!
Okay, let’s move on.
This isn’t just a broad outline of some basic policy ideas they have put forward. It’s an actual book with an entire section of names of conservatives that will be staffing the government.
Every. Single. Department. They will be gutting the federal government so they can restaff every agency and department so they are sure that nothing, and no one, will stand in the way of their plans.
Donβt forget, an executive of The Heritage Foundation was included in the meeting between Trump and Victor OrbΓ‘n at Mar-a-Lago. I’m betting they wanted more information about how OrbΓ‘n was able to successfully destroy democracy in Hungary and remain in power. Itβs not as if Donald Trump hasn’t already attempted to remain in power. The 2020 electionβ¦ fake electors plotβ¦ January 6th coup.
Detailed planning For Republican authoritarian rule
Take a look at the Table of Contents, which includes sections for each area of government. Each section follows this same concept:
Section 1: Taking the Reins of Government
1. White House Office: Rick Dearborn
2. Executive Office of the President of the United States: Russ Vought
3. Central Personnel Agencies: Managing the Bureaucracy: Donald Devine, Dennis Dean Kirk, Paul Dans
Section 2 is titled: The Common Defense and it lists personnel for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Intelligence Community, Agency of International Development, and Media & Communications.
Each section is linked to that part of the βbookβ as well as each department or agency. You can see the entire table of contents here.
Army of Trump Sycophants
Thereβs a page on the website called the βPresidential Personnel Databaseβ where it reads:
Want to be considered for positions in a presidential Administration? Submit your resume today to be included in the personnel database.
It appears, and I’ve heard it said, that they are looking for Trump loyalists that will do whatever Trump wants without question. That is not good!
Freaked out yet? Or maybe it’s just me?
Either way, I feel it’s important for the American public to know exactly who will be in charge and what their plans are before November 5th, so share this (or the project 2025 website) far and wide and be sure to read the other sections on the site about policies they plan to implement (but don’t read it in the dark or right before bed).
Update December 12, 2024: Reading this again right now is unnerving when you realize just how much of what they had planned is happening right now.
