The Working Families Party has released their 2024 naughty list. These people and groups are the naughtiest of the naughty who will wake up on Christmas morning to find a lump of coal in their stocking! Which do you think is the absolute worst? Let us know in the comments.

Donald Trump and JD Vance

These men are deserving of a truly terrible holiday season, full of coal. They’ve spent their year lying to the American public about immigrants, about trans kids, about people who require abortion care, about their extremist Project 2025 plan to remake the federal government to their liking. They’ve spread fear and hatred everywhere they’ve gone, and it doesn’t get much less nice than that.

Elon Musk

After buying Twitter, Musk set his sights higher: the United States of America. He poured a disgusting amount of money into electing Trump and other MAGA Republicans ($277 million, making him the largest political donor of 2024). Now, he’s reaping the benefits of his investment by trying to take ourbenefits away. Musk is setting his sights on cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for hardworking Americans who have been paying into these programs for years, and who knows what essential services he’ll try to cut next. Coal.

The Far-Right majority on the Supreme Court

Particularly its two most corrupt members, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito. These justices have made catastrophic decisions this year, from saying that a president cannot be held criminally accountable for their actions in office to taking away the federal government’s ability to determine standards for clean water, clean air, and more. Throughout 2024, this extremist Supreme Court majority proved that the only people they care about are the ultra-wealthy folks buying them off, and the convicted felon Donald Trump who stole some of their seats for them. That’s six servings of coal, coming right up.

Price-gouging billionaires

The billionaires who line their own pockets at the expense of the rest of us. Essentials like groceries, housing, healthcare, education, and more have gotten harder and harder for us and our loved ones to afford. The reason for that is corporate greed. Billionaire CEOs and other executives are taking massive holiday bonuses this year while refusing to pay their employees their fair share and jacking up prices for their customers. They’ve chosen to hurt families in order to buy themselves yet another vacation home. We’d give them coal, but we’ve all already given them enough.

Super PACs and special interest groups

Both have been buying our elections — especially the Republican megadonors funding AIPAC, who targeted WFP champions like Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush for standing up for working people and speaking out against the Israeli government’s war crimes in Gaza. The wealthiest in our country continue to have an outsized influence on our elections, drowning out the voices of the actual voters who our elected officials are supposed to represent. Coal all the way around.

Donate to the Working Families Party

Everyone on this list put their own greed for money or power over the wellbeing of our communities. We aren’t about to sit back and let them keep hurting the people we care about in 2025. Pitch in with an end-of-year donation to help the Working Families Party stand up to them and build power for the multiracial working class instead.
