The January 6th argument claiming it wasn’t “that bad” is part of Republicans’ damage control plan. Even a host on Newsmax pushed back on claims that police weren’t assaulted, that there was no violence on January 6th.
Donald Trump is coming back and he plans to pardon the insurrectionists. Republicans need to do damage control to provide cover for his freeing of violent criminals who beat police officers.
Especially after they gave Kamala Harris s**t for donating to a fund used to bail people out of jail who were arrested during a BLM protest. They tried to say what she did was horrible because the protesters attacked the police.
