This is how the GOP raises our deficit with tax breaks for the wealthy.

Every time a Republican President is in office they add to our deficit with tax breaks for the wealthy.

President Trump and Elon Musk with DOGE are desperately trying to find money with cuts so they can give $4.5 trillion in tax breaks for the wealthy.

During Trump’s first term, he added $8 trillion to the deficit. At a time when Americans are struggling financially, Trump realizes that giving trillions to billionaires instead of helping the working class looks really bad.

How can they possibly say there’s no money available for universal healthcare, paid family leave, or any of the other policies that a majority of Americans want, while giving away trillions?

It’s been calculated that these tax cuts for the rich will add closer to $11-20 trillion over 10 years. Workers are being fired from their jobs, most are veterans, just so Trump’s cabinet of billionaires can help people that don’t need any financial assistance at all.

They’re cutting $800 billion from Medicaid, firing 80,000 workers from the VA alone, and the way they are carrying out these firings is cruel. They’re claiming workers are being fired for poor performance just so they can’t file for unemployment benefits. It gets worse. Not only does it prevent them from getting benefits to support their families, it also decreases their chances of finding new employment. Employers will see they were fired because they didn’t perform well in their former position.

Veterans who have been fired from the VA were working with other veterans. One man is disabled, making getting just any other job more difficult.

In the end, the Trump Administration is robbing the poor to give to the rich. This video from Mother Jones explains how Republicans always raise our deficit when they’re in office. When a Democrat is in Office, Republicans and their media ecosystem love to complain about how much money is spent on things that help the American people. If that doesn’t show you that the GOP is not on the side of workers, I don’t know what will.
