Warning: I went off on James Comer for way too long in this post and ended up making the entire introduction to the video about his foolishness. He was only a small part of the hearing, but he really pissed me off! As you’ll see, I have a very low tolerance for Comer, so apologies in advance for the rant.
James Comer is one of those Republican politicians that is “nails on a chalkboard” to me. I grew to loathe him during all of the ridiculous impeachment hearings he chaired railing against President Biden. He would then go on Fox News to talk about “all of this corruption between China and the #BidenCrimeFamily.”
It was ridiculous. I don’t care much for liars to begin with, but the Republican politicians who regularly spread disinformation to their voters have a special place in my trash can for garbage people.
James Comer was constantly on Fox News asserting that Biden and his family were definitively guilty and the hosts never questioned him about what proof he had to bolster his statement of guilt.
“What evidence did you have, Comer? I don’t recall ever seeing anything. That’s right. You were never able to find any “fire” for all that “smoke” you’d talk about on Fox News.
This wasn’t just him annoying me by being himself, though. He really did lose it during his exchange with Representative Ayanna Pressley. It was unlike anything I had seen before. It was not the typical di*k behavior we’ve all come to expect from Republicans in Congress.
He didn’t seem angry, even though he was acting like he was pissed off. Instead, he looked panicked and “afraid.”

James Comer is a Nutbag
Here’s my theory: He obviously didn’t want her to finish reading the headline because it countered the narrative he was trying to push onto the American people. However, he seemed to panic over it! It was different from the bullying behavior you typically see from Republicans when a Democrat is trying to inject facts into one of their “sham” hearings.
At the time I thought perhaps he knew President Trump would be upset if he heard it, so Comer was trying to prevent that by not allowing her to finish reading the headline of the article she wanted to submit to the record.
Straight fear was in his eyes as if he knew President Trump was going to “punish” him if any facts were spoken during a hearing meant to demonize immigrants. I feel even more strongly that “punishment” could be a reason as more news has come out about Trump attacking free speech over the past two days.
Ayanna Pressley prefaced her comments with, “as a survivor of sexual violence,” making his rude interruption even more hideous. She then asked to submit articles into the record, and normal procedure involves the member of Congress reading the title of the article, study, etc. they are submitting.
Comer wouldn’t let her read the headline! He even threatened to kick her out like Maxwell Frost after he called Trump a grifter. Since when was stating a fact grounds for getting kicked out of a hearing?
At the end of the argument she tried one more time to read the headline and Comer screamed, “NO!” like someone had just told him that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian propaganda.
The facts that are shared during this hearing will never reach Fox News viewers, but they should know the truth about Republicans dropping the ball on immigration reform and firing the workers in our immigration system that are needed to carry out their mass deportation.
The entire situation would be funny if it wasn’t true. The Trump Administration has shown us the true meaning of incompetence.
