Donald Trump was speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier today when shots rang out. Trump clutched his ear before ducking down behind the podium. An attendee was shot and killed and another is in serious condition. The gunman was killed with video showing his lifeless body on a rooftop just across from the rally location.
Trump was taken to a nearby hospital and is reported to be fine. President Joe Biden addressed the nation after phoning the former President to check on his condition. He spoke out condemning political violence in all forms from both sides.
There is already a lot of polarization in this country with Trump’s dangerous rhetoric causing his supporters to harass People with death threats and threats of violence. We can only hope this doesn’t turn the temperature up even more, though on his way out of the rally, Trump appeared to be shouting “fight!” at his supporters in attendance.
