Elon Musk’s panic rises as massive Tesla protests and backlash against him for interfering in the government intensify to next levels, with outrage across the world. John Iadarola and Jayar Jackson break it down on The Damage Report.
“Police across the United States are investigating a series of attacks on Tesla showrooms, charging stations and Tesla vehicles, as vitriol escalates against CEO Elon Musk.
There have also been peaceful Tesla protests at many locations, which involve demonstrators carrying signs and chanting “Elon Musk has got to go” in response to the slashing of federal jobs and budgets by Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency.
In a social media post, President Trump referred to the Tesla protests and boycotts as “illegal.” He also went so far as to call the peaceful protesters at Tesla businesses “terrorists.”
Though the protests have been peaceful, there have also been widespread reports of vandalism. While there have been no reports of injuries, the incidents pose a potential financial problem for Tesla. The company faces declining sales for the first time due to increased competition and backlash over Musk’s contentious role in the Trump administration.”
