Trump officials struggle to justify the arrest of Pro-Palestinian protester and graduate student, Mahmoud Khalil. ICE agents arrested him at his Columbia University apartment and took him to a detention center in Louisiana. They told his 8-month pregnant wife and Khalil’s lawyer he was being held in New Jersey. People didn’t know where he was for at least 24 hours.
Department of Homeland Security officials told Mahmoud they were revoking his student visa when they arrested him, but he has a green card. Now they’re saying his green card will be revoked and he will be deported to a country where he’s likely to be killed by the IDF or die of starvation.
