Trump selling assassination attempt sneakers

Donald Trump began selling assassination-attempt sneakers before calling the widow of the supporter that was killed by gunfire at the Butler County rally on Saturday.

Trump started profiting off this act of political violence with his new special edition Trump sneakers before contacting the widow of the man killed in the attack.

MeidasTouch.com reported that Trump started selling the sneakers on Monday in order to market them to attendees of the RNC, which began on Monday, July 16. This was before he contacted the widow of Corey D. Comporatore, the firefighter killed protecting his family from the bullets intended for Trump. Two other rally attendees were seriously injured and hospitalized in critical condition after the attack.

Although this can be written off as Donald Trump, typical conman, selling anything and everything to make a profit, the fact that it is glorifying political violence is disturbing. Not that there’s any doubt that people will buy these “special edition” Trump sneakers.

The website states that there were only 5,000 pairs of the special edition high-top Trump sneakers made, therefore purchases are limited to 3 per person. This attempt at creating an appearance of exclusivity is likely not the case. Does anyone believe that Trump would turn down a fan who wants to give him $300-$900? Instead, it’s more likely that it’s an attempt to make more sales of the sneakers.

The original gold sneakers probably weren’t even produced ahead of time. The fine print on the website indicated that shipping would not start for several months after purchase. While not confirmed, this appears to indicate that the sneakers had to be produced after a sale before they could be shipped. What else would cause a shipping delay of several months? Anyone purchasing these special edition sneakers is encouraged to read the fine print before spending $300 on these “exclusive” sneakers.
