They say that women’s brains are designed to block out the experience of giving birth (and I’d like to add a good 4-5 years afterwards as well), because if that wasn’t how it worked, NO ONE would have a second child.
If the misery of morning sickness, those final 2 months of pregnancy, the excruciating pain of labor, the year without sleep, and the terrible twos, threes, and sometimes fours remained fresh in our memories, there is no way in hell we would choose to do it again!
I think the same phenomenon applies to Donald Trump. People like us have been paying attention to all of his racist, misogynistic comments and crazy antics for months prior to this election. We never had enough time away from the lunatic for the memory of his first term to fade.
But just like following a breakup when you only seem to remember the good times of an abusive relationship, voters forgot how terrible and exhausting his presidency was.
Every.
Single.
Day.
It was something! A crazy Tweet, a threat to nuke someone… it never stopped!
I can still remember how eerily quiet and calm the world seemed after Biden took office. I even thought to myself how I never even realized just how on edge and anxious I was on a daily basis until a “normal” President was back in office and I could finally relax knowing he was a responsible adult and everything was going to be okay.
I can also tell you with 100% certainty that a lot of Americans felt the same way. In fact, the entire world felt more calm and relaxed.
The people who voted for Trump because of the economy are either lying or they really have just totally forgotten what it was like the last time Trump was in the White House. He embraced our enemies and alienated our allies. We narrowly escaped alive! (In fact, I’d be interested to know what the statistics were for heart attacks during his Presidency and if they number declined once Biden took office. I’m kidding. (sort of…)

I also can also remember hearing the stories from responsible adults working in the White House about how he’d hand them something to fax that would’ve started a nuclear war so instead of faxing it they’d just pop it in the shredder. Another person said they had seen something on his desk he had requested waiting for his signature, but it would have been terrible for the country, so they got rid of it before he noticed it.
I have an amazing memory, so I still remember someone saying, “The American people have no idea what would’ve happened if we hadn’t been there to save the country.” Maybe we should have known what went on because had they told us, we might not be back here again.
Those people won’t be there this time. Donald Trump doesn’t know or understand enough about the job of President to do it all by himself! He those people! I’m not even joking… 😵
They even said at the time that the country has no idea how incompetent he is because the competent people were there to make sure everything was taken care of and done correctly without him even realizing it.
So, I guess that is a very long, drawn out way of me saying WE ARE SCREWED and the people who chose to put him back in charge probably have no idea what’s coming.
Hence, Stephanie Ruhle saying that they just fuxxed around and now the entire world is going to find out.
