Editor: The other day I wrote about the President of El Salvador offering to take people from the U.S. prison system to house them in his country’s mega prison “for a small fee.” The scary part was Trump saying he would deport Americans to El Salvador “if it was legal.”
Forgive me for not feeling assured by that considering he’s been doing non-stop illegal s**t since his inauguration!
I don’t think he cares if something he wants to do is legal or not. So far he’s been getting away with everything. Similarly, Elon Musk and his bro minions have been engaging in a coup—taking over entire departments of the U.S. government, getting into confidential computer systems that people used to need a security clearance to access.
So, Trump saying he would do something if it were legal really means there’s a good chance he’s going to do it.
