We prioritize authenticity, honesty, and integrity in everything we publish on our website. We pride ourselves in being a place where Progressives can get their news and feel secure that everything they read is authentic and fact-based.
The written content you find prefacing an article from another trusted news organization is in the form of opinion and commentary from our editor, but even in posts written in first-person commentary style, you will never find intentional disinformation, misinformation, or lies. If you ever see something you believe (or know) to be incorrect, contact the Zany Progressive editor with the fact check information and see our policy on corrections and updates.
Member Content and Guest Posts
Fact checking is an important part of approving content submitted by a third party, While we have clear guidelines for content submitted by our members and guest contributors who write about current events, sometimes we might miss something while approving posts.
The mechanism for alerting us when it comes to content from other sources is by using the Report Content option.
When you open the reporting page, youβll find a list of violations to choose from. Clicking on the reason for the report will route you to the correct form. This is the most efficient way to alert us to issues with content that wasn’t published by a Zany Progressive staff writer. It allows us to remove the content as quickly as possible.
See the Zany Community Guidelines for a complete list of what is and is not allowed on our site. Each section also includes a link to the form used to report content that violates our guidelines.
Fact checking policy: Zany Community
This policy also covers content on the Zany Community website. If you find incorrect information there, send the information discovered by fact checking to the editor @szehlius via messenger. You can access it by clicking the icon on her profile, or by clicking the messaging icon at the bottom of the screen on every page.
