“Donald Trump raged at Fulton Co. District Attorney Fani Willis in a mostly all-caps rant Saturday as a judge began to weigh whether she should be disqualified from prosecuting the Georgia election interference case.
In court Friday, an attorney for Trump’s co-defendant Robert Cheeley likened Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade to “love-struck teenagers” who called and texted each other thousands of times during their relationship. Trump and his co-defendants want Willis disqualified from the case, arguing that she hired Wade as special prosecutor while the two were in an “improper” relationship, and that she benefitted financially.”
